On the Danny Gatton release "Danny Gatton; In Concert 9/9/94" (Big Mo Records, 1996) one can see and hear Danny playing a Fender Custom double neck 6 string over 6 string bass. An amazing performance by "The World's Greatest Unknown Guitar Player" & his band "The Terrible Trio," John Previti & Timm Biery. We miss you, Danny.

Judging from the length of the Tele neck (actually, it's an Esquire--only one pickup), it looks like a baritone. Cool guitar!

Dean Deleo, of STP, played a custom shop double-neck fender (tele I think) with his other band, Army of Anyone. One neck was in standard tuning and the other was in open-G, he used it for their single "Goodbye" and maybe a few others.

Wonder if the Tele side still sounds Tele enough, despite the bigger body? Regardless, that's probably the coolest double neck I've ever seen.

Had never thought about a Strat/Tele doubleneck. I've sketched building a Tele/Mando for myself, but this is a great piece of history. The documentation with it is an excellent addition to the guitar. I hope the future owner owns a big glass case for it.
