Suhr Suhr Classic T Tele Pickup Set, Chrome Neck
$176.00

SKU: GS20472
The Classic-T pickups are the result of John Suhr's extensive research into what made the pickups of Tele-style instruments so special, and so renowned for their unmistakable sonic quality as heard on pop and rock records for the past half-century. The Classic-T Bridge pickup retains the twang and the bite of the best vintage Tele-style pickups while doing away with piercing or harsh highs that are common in pickups of this type. The Classic-T Neck pickup adds clarity and warmth to round out the perfect set of pickups for Telecaster style guitars. Neck pickup includes chrome cover.

Lollar Lollar P-90 Soapbar Pickup Set, Cream, Vintage Wind
$230.00

SKU: GS20453
Based on a 1956 LP Goldtop that is owned by a friend of Jason Lollar. Underwound version of Lollar's soapbars, with magnet strength reduced. Cleaner tone at any volume, decreased lows and mids, less growl. Scatter wound for extended frequency response. Alnico 5 magnets provide wide dynamic range, and increase the amp's tonal response to picking pressure. These may be a good choice for the player who tends to lean more toward single-coils than humbuckers, and who may find traditional P-90s to be a little bigger and fuller than they prefer. Our own Brian Reuschling has a 3-pickup set in a Reverend Jetstream 390 (cool guitar!), and finds that in this guitar the bridge is very Tele-like, with the other four positions sounding like a beefed-up Strat. (This is a bolt-on neck guitar, with some aspects of its construction being more similar to a Strat than a Les Paul, so these observations may not apply so much if you're looking for pickups for your Les Paul or SG.) RWRP for hum-canceling when combined. Available with black or cream pickup covers. 3-piece set available, with RWRP middle for hum-canceling in combination positions.

Lindy Fralin Fralin P-90 Soapbar Pickup, Stock Wind
$80.00

SKU: GS20352
Gibson’s classic single-coil is known for big midrange when used clean, and chainsaw grind when pushing an amp hard. This pickup comes with adjustable poles and Alnico bar magnets in either black or cream (choose color at checkout). Wound with 42-gauge Plain Enamel wire to spec. We recommend 10%-15% difference between neck and bridge. Sets have a RWRP bridge for hum-canceling when both pickups are on.

Lindy Fralin Fralin Unbucker Neck Pickup, F-Spaced, Black (50mm)
$120.00

SKU: GS20414
Great for any humbucker-equipped guitar, and Strat-style guitars with a single-single-hum or hum-single-hum configuration. We have also sold these to Tele players who like a humbucker in the neck. Fralin has devised a humbucker that looks normal but sounds brighter on the wound strings than two single coil Pups side by side. Fralin Unbuckers have their two coils wound with different amounts of wire. While a typical 8K humbucker would have each coil wound to 4K, an 8K Unbucker would have a 3K coil and a 5K coil. This makes the pickup brighter. A typical 8K humbucker would have one of its 4K coils combined with the single coil, typically closer to 6K. There is somewhat of a mismatch between the two pickups, with the 4K humbucker coil being thinner sounding than the 6K single coil. If an 8K Unbucker is used instead of an 8K humbucker, the Unbucker would have its 5K coil combined with the 6K middle pickup. This is a much better match, and more closely approximates the sound of two single coils combined. The second benefit of the Unbucker is that some people think they sound better when used as a humbucker (when both coils are on in series). Lindy is in this group. He says that his personal PRS McCarty never sounded so good as when he replaced the stock humbuckers with a pair of his Unbuckers. He thinks that the mismatch between the coils yields a more complex humbucking tone than two matched coils provides. So the Unbucker is not just for use in a Fender-style guitar where a humbucker is being used in conjunction with a single coil, they are also a great upgrade for any guitar that uses humbuckers. Downside: the hum-canceling is slightly compromised. While an Unbucker is still hum-canceling to a large extent, it is a little noisier than conventional humbuckers. Available models: Gibson pole spacing - black, zebra, nickel, gold Fender pole spacing - black, white
